The Kedarnath Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage in Hinduism, leading devotees to the revered Kedarnath Temple nestled in the Himalayas. It holds immense spiritual significance, as it is believed to be one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims embark on a challenging journey, traversing rugged terrain and braving harsh weather conditions to reach the temple situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet). The yatra typically begins in May and continues until November, with devotees undertaking a trek of approximately 16 kilometers from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Along the way, they encounter breathtaking vistas of the mountains and serene surroundings. Upon reaching the temple, pilgrims offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
