A pesticide is a substance that is utilized in farming to control not just pests but as well as bacteria, fungus and weeds. Not all pesticides are similar each has different properties and consequence. In the EU, according to the pesticide approvals database, there are currently 490 substances approved for use as Biopesticides of which only 28 are approved for use in organic agriculture. In organic farming, it is only when all other types of dealing with pests have been weary and the farmer is faced with a prospective loss of crops, that one of the ratified Biopesticides can be used. It’s a controlled procedure and is never the first line of action.
